Based at Auckland Regional Women's Corrections Facility – Waikato Hub are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, committed individual who can complete a wide range of office administration activities. This is a rewarding and challenging position within an environment that will stretch your skills and offer ongoing support.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing general administrative support to teams and management
- Manage correspondence, including emails, phone calls and incoming and outgoing mail/orders
- Liaising with our management team and the public
- Liaising with organisations and services we work with
- General reception and front-desk duties
- Booking whanau visits for the wāhine in our care
- Manage administration functions to support site operations
- Record management and ensuring correspondence, reports and other documentation meet Department timelines and standards
- Providing administration support across our site by setting up meeting invites, taking minutes, recording actions, communicating with external stakeholders and filing
In this busy role, you will thrive working collaboratively within a team. You will operate in a challenging, fast-paced environment where the ability to multitask, remain adaptable, and follow policies and procedures is essential. Strong judgement is required to effectively prioritise tasks and activities to meet deadlines.

The preferred candidate will be able to demonstrate:

- Sound experience and knowledge of office administration practices

- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to adapt, multitask, and meet deadlines
- A collaborative mindset, with the ability to contribute positively as part of a dynamic team of administrators
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds in a friendly and non-judgemental manner
- A high level of integrity, with the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive and personal information
- Proficiency in computer software and database systems, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel), and the ability to quickly learn new systems

Applicants must be a New Zealand citizen, holder of a New Zealand residence permit, Australian citizen, or Australian resident with a current Resident Return Visa. A full New Zealand driver licence is also required for this role.
Ngā painga | The benefits
The salary range for this position is $64,717 - $68,434 per annum. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
