The Infrastructure and Digital Assets (IDA) team have an exciting and transformational plan designed to modernise our infrastructure and technology platform, delivering life changing digital technology for the people we manage and our staff. We have a permanent role available. In this role you will be responsible for the delivery and maintenance of systems and digital assets used by our staff and people in our care.
Your focus will be to deliver key initiatives within the Digital Infrastructure Programme of work. We are delivering multiple strategic projects to improve our digital infrastructure; therefore this role will require the candidate to demonstrate key experience running large and complex digital infrastructure projects.
As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our IT projects align with our values and vision. Your responsibilities include:
- Manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of IT projects to deliver solutions that meet the requirements of the Department and our key stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Programme Managers to ensure all IT projects within the Product Group meet their delivery objectives (Budget, Time, Quality).
- Assist the Programme Manager as needed in support of Product and Governance reporting activities.
- Take the lead in managing and maintaining multiple project risk registers to minimise exposure and risk across multiple projects.
- Utilising our approved P3M tool provide accurate, timely, and insightful project reports to governance forums as required.
- Collaborate with internal and external providers to integrate and manage resources and tasks efficiently.
- Manage the efforts of all resources to ensure projects deliver within specified constraints of time, cost, and quality while meeting business requirements.
- Effective communication skills working closely with engaged Senior Responsible Owners to deliver the expected outcome.
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience
You'll have extensive experience and involvement in managing large complex IT digital infrastructure projects and/or multiple IT projects having regard to project management disciplines. In addition, you'll bring:
- Experience managing both large- and small-scale projects including a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- Knowledge and experience working with ADO, PRINCE2/Agile or similar (qualifications would be beneficial)
- Experience and involvement in the IT procurement and change management processes.
- Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills, including meeting and workshop facilitation experience.
- The ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical team members.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and negotiation experience, including the ability to influence and build consensus with a range of stakeholders.
Utu ā-tau | Salary
Appointment and remuneration for the successful candidate will be between $145,192 - $170,814 per annum based on skills and experience relevant to the role. The full range (85%-120%) is $145,192 - $204,977 per annum.
